My Freshman Year:
In this reading I could relate to a lot Rebekah Nathan shared in her book. When she talked about communities within AnyU it reminded me a lot about Bloom. She talked about her RA trying to bring people together on their floor. I feel like CAs around here try their best to bring people togther, but no one puts the effort in trying to make the activities successful like at AnyU. When she talked about Greek life and how many people objected to it, I found the same result from people I talked to. Many agree that they don't want to pay money to make friends when they can make them for free. I also noticed that making friends is key your freshman year at college because that is most likely who you will continue to be friends with the years to come. I agreed with Rebekah Nathan when she mentioned students have their clicks and only hang out with 2-6 people. I am one of those who hang out with a select few people and I met them my freshman year.

On Ethnography:
When reading this passage in the book, I thought this part was better than the first section we had to read. Something that I found interesting was, "Remember always that we study something because we already know something." I agree with this statement because when we want to study something or major in something we have some previous knowledge of the subject. I want to major in special education and teach children who have Autism. I decided on this because I already knew some things about Autism and what it takes to be a teacher.I also noticed that to become better at something and gain more information like on juggling you sometimes have to go further in your research like reading books and models to get a better understanding or what you want to achieve. I can relate because I had to read books and watch things on television talking about teaching and Autism.
